Congratulations to the Cyberspace Capabilities Center (CCC) on earning the Air Force Organizational Excellence Award (AFOEA), capping off their inaugural year, and showcasing the value the organization brings not only to the Cyber community, but also to the Air Force as a whole. This well-deserved recognition emphasizes the purpose and role of the CCC as described in their mission statement to “Lead the Air Force in delivering Cyberspace Capabilities to the Warfighter." The AFOEA notes the CCC’s “exceptionally meritorious service” during the period covered (1 Jun 2019 - 31 May 2020) as undoubtedly one of the most challenging times we have faced as Airmen and Cyber professionals.
The efforts of the CCC team brought the future faster through mobile applications, enterprise collaboration & voice services, and first-class field support empowering Airman to meet trans-regional objectives. The center delivered cyber capabilities to 10 Major Commands, 11 Combatant Commands, other mission partners, and provided services across the Air Force Network. They drove the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, scaling telework capabilities for the entire Air Force from 9,000 to 437,000 connections in just forty-five days. This enabled Airman across the total force to continue daily operations while ensuring their safety and offering a newfound level of flexibility.
